Michael started his carrier in Sleep Medicine in 1989. As the technical manger of The Walla Walla Project he worked with William Dement, MD, PhD and German Nino-Murcia, MD in the first documented case of sleep medicine training outside of a university hospital setting. As Director of the Sleep Medicine and Neuroscience Institute, he was a pioneer in computerized polysomnography and home testing. Michael spent many years in industry and has experience in product design, product management, and international business development. Michael is a founding board member of the California Sleep Society and currently serves as the CSS Secretary-Treasurer and Chair of the Legislative Active Subcommittee.
