Dear Colleague:
The
California for Sleep Disorders is proud to announce the grand opening
of our newest full service sleep center in Fremont; located at 37481
Maple Street, Suite H, approximately 1.5 miles from Washington Hospital.
We now have the capability of performing sleep disorders
testing as well as consultations in the tri-city area.
We
are pleased to announce that Dr. Angela Anagnos has joined our staff.
Dr. Anagnos specializes in Neurology and Neurophysiology. She has completed a two year fellowship in
sleep disorders at Stanford University.
She and Dr. Kram, whose background is in Pulmonology, will
be available to perform sleep consultations as well as supervising
the sleep center. Dr. Kram is the only board certified sleep
specialist in the area. With
Dr. Kram’s background of 16 years in the sleep disorders field,
including regular teaching at Stanford, and Dr. Anagnos’ neurology
background, we offer the greatest experience and the most complete
service and testing available in the East Bay.
In
addition, the sleep center has a well-established two bedroom sleep
centers at Valley Memorial Hospital in Livermore and a two bedroom
sleep center in Walnut Creek, directly across from John Muir Medical
Center. Our main facility
at 3012 Summit Street in Oakland is a fully accredited four-bedroom
sleep center recognized by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine,
and one of the first free-standing sleep centers in the country.
All
of our sleep centers are capable of doing full polysomnography (sleep
studies in lab) or portable home testing to rule out sleep apnea.
We carefully screen patients as to the best testing to meet
their individual needs. In
addition, when indicated and prescribed by the referring physician,
we provide an introduction to the use of CPAP and then a titration
to determine an optimal pressure. These steps are essential in achieving a high
compliance with CPAP and are necessary in helping the patient adapt
to CPAP.
Our
program has contracts with the majority of providers and with our
flexible testing ability, is often the most economical for your
patient and for the provider.
